GANT: An American heritage that defines timeless style with modern flair
If you're looking for a brand that brings a balance between relaxed and unadulterated quality to your wardrobe, GANT is a safe bet. At Queens, we value this legend for its ability to fuse classic elements from college campuses with modern cuts that work perfectly in urban settings. GANT is no longer just about shirts for professors - it's a brand for anyone who grew up on streetwear but is now looking for pieces with added value and precision craftsmanship.
The story from Yale shirts to global icon
It all started in 1949 in New Haven, Connecticut, when Bernard Gantmacher began making shirts for students and professors at the prestigious Yale University. At the time, GANT introduced revolutionary features such as the functional locker loop on the back of the shirt and the iconic button-down collar. The brand became synonymous with "Ivy League" style and defined the visual identity of the American upper class. Over time, however, GANT has moved from campuses to the world, and is now a symbol of fashion that is unafraid of colour, boldness and, above all, durability.
Quality that survives trends
What sets GANT apart is its uncompromising focus on materials. From the premium cotton on our iconic GANT Archive logo sweatshirts to the soft wool sweaters and perfectly fitting chinos, you'll find pieces that will last with you for years in our Queens range. At thirty-five, you already know that comfort is key; so the cuts are designed not to restrict you, whether you're in a business meeting or spending the weekend with the family. GANT is about details that make a difference, and materials that look great after many washes.
How to wear GANT in a modern context?
Today's GANT is worn with ease and without being too fussy. It works great when paired with your favourite Queens trainers - try teaming a classic Oxford shirt with quality jeans, or throw on an iconic varsity jacket over a basic T-shirt. GANT is the perfect choice for those who embrace "smart casual" style with a subtle hint of a sporty aesthetic. It's a brand for people who no longer need to shout logos to show their taste. Choose your GANT piece here and invest in American history that makes perfect sense in a modern wardrobe.
