BIRKENSTOCK is a global brand. BIRKENSTOCK is not only one of the world's top five footwear brands, but also one of the most famous German brands in the world. With approximately 5,500 employees, this sixth-generation family-owned company is one of the largest employers in the German footwear industry. Almost one in four employees in the industry works at BIRKENSTOCK. More than 3,000 new jobs have been created since the beginning of 2013, almost all of which are in Germany. This is due to the fact that BIRKENSTOCK manufactures most of its products at its own production facilities in Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Hesse and Saxony.

BIRKENSTOCK has been a global player since the 1970s. Our products are sold in around 90 countries on all continents. Our organisation is also becoming increasingly internationalised. BIRKENSTOCK has 16 branches in Germany. Internationally, we are represented by sales offices in the United States, Brazil, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, France, Norway, Dubai, India and the United Kingdom.
