Asics is a brand that is based on the idea of "In a healthy body, a healthy spirit." Its name is an abbreviation of an old Latin saying. The first Asics shoes were made in 1949 by Japanese entrepreneur Kihachiro Onitsuka. His goal was to create quality shoes for athletes that would help them perform better.
